"Appointments"

About: Bristol Eye Hospital

On May 15 I had a steroid injection below my left eye in the Retinal Unit. The doctor said they would see me again to assess this in 4 weeks time. I make this 12 June. I alraedy had an appointment for 19 June for my right eye, and expected to be sent an earlier one, which would possibly have served for both eyes. However I was not nad had to cancel the 19 June appointment, which I did on-line -explaining that I needed an earlier appointment anyway. However, I was sent an appointment for 13 July, which I could not keep as I will be away.On phoning to change it and point out that this is now 4 weeks later than I was told I should be seen, the telephonist stated bluntly that the earliets appointment they could offer me was 17 July. This is a 9 week wait since the injection when i was told it would be 4!
