"ED lets it down"

Having been to RCH 3 times last week, the A+E department is definitely the worst I have ever seen. Having arrived and seen the triage nurse then being told that I have a migraine which is affecting my vision, I then waited another 4 hours to see a doctor. After this time I gave up as I needed to go to work. Whilst this was happening, the reception team seemed totally uninterested in what was happening and seemed to prefer looking at what was happening on their phones or chatting to each other about the patients that are in the waiting room. On the other hand, the staff in Eye Care are a real compliment to the NHS. I arrived an hour early for my appointment but was seen within 10 minutes by the nurse, then 5 minutes after that by the doctor. Even MAU were a credit, especially with how they treated the patients on the ward and the care they offered. Overall, I like Treliske and would put it up there with on of the best, as long as you don't have to go to the Emergency Department.
