What I liked
On Thursday 02 April 09 my first child was born at 03:35am with the expert assistance of my midwife
I would like you to know that my midwife performed her duties in a compassionate, professional manner and at all times I felt comfortable and confident in her care whilst in labour.
I appreciate that hospital staff can work very demanding and intense shifts, however whilst coming to the end stages of my labour my midwife was offered relief by one of her colleagues but I was delighted that she chose to remain present to deliver my baby.
I was extremely touched by this as I am sure she was very tired.
After he was born the Clinical Specialist administered my stitches and I found her to be very friendly. According to my midwife the tear I had, has healed perfectly.
I would like to praise these individuals and the rest of the staff on the labour ward for their care and professionalism.
My midwife and the rest of the ladies on the Samson Labour Ward are a credit to the hospital.
What could be improved
Nothing in this instance
