"Overnight stay but told would be in longer"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

I was sent up to hospital via GP on Wednesday 20th May with having abdomen pains for a week and finding no relief from any medications that were prescribed. Arriving at 6.30pm. The staff on East on Ward were fantastic and so was the junior Doctor although after seeing them 2 hours later they decided that I needed an x-ray this was at 9.45pm. The Doctor who was on that night didn't see me til 11.20pm and by this time my husband was getting frustrated as he couldn't go anywhere until we knew whether I was being kept in. When seen by Doctor i was told I was gonna be kept in for a few days do they can get on top of the pain. So I then get moved to Docking Ward again staff very pleased and the nurse doing medications on the Thursday morning was fantastic. The consultant came round and there was something about them I did not like, felt they didn't do a proper examination and just said ' painkillers and home '. So I'm thinking OK when are they sending me home, didn't tell me their diagnosis. When the nurse came round to see if I was happy with the meds they were sending me home on, I wasn't as the doctor was only gonna give me what I'm already taking for Arthritis. So the nurse said they will get the doctor to back and sends a junior Doctor with no examination the doctor says they can just add Morphine in. 5.20pm I get the medications and have been to Doctors no end of time with this on going pain and now I have to wait to see a Gastroentologist.
