"Excellent care at The Derwent"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

After a total hip replacement op, I was cared for by the nursing team at The Derwent. I received excellent care and attention from all members of staff, from both the day and the night nurses. All of them were kind, attentive and efficient. I felt very lucky to be looked after by such a dedicated and professional team. I want to thank each and every one of them to make my stay at The Derwent such an easy one for me. The team gave me a very good start to what I hope will be a total recovery soon.

Dear Anonymous I hope your new hip is feeling comfortable and soon starts to feel better than the one it has replaced. I thank you for noting the positive and dedicated approach from the nursing team at the Derwent and I will be sure to pass on your comments to the Ward Sister to share with the rest of her staff. We are fortunate to live in an area that has a number of good hospitals providing excellent service and I am pleased you feel that you have been given a good start to your recovery by the team looking after you.
