"Noisy Nurses"

About: Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Trust HQ

Staying on Elm Ward I found that there is far too much noise from the Nurses. I do appreciate that one way and another, a busy ward can be a very noisy environment of course. But! Apart from my Overall excellent general care, all I wanted is as much peace and quiet as possible. I didn't get it! Nurses having radios on for their own personnel music taste I found rather annoying. Not everybody, particularly of a certain age likes to listen to the latest or whatever music and to my mind, general drivel which can be on the radio. Nurses talking rather loudly, sometimes about a persons care, particularly late at night, and during it, I thought was so very inconsiderate. There seems to be no thought given to people who might be very poorly and who just want to rest and sleep in a quiet environment. Most of the nurses are quite young, and showing respect for people who don't want noise and noisy talking seems not to occur to some of them. Particularly as some do have rather loud voices, and can talk for England! Very thoughtless to my mind. Apart from the noise issue, nothing else could be faulted.
