"children's community nurse team/Bluebell..."

My daughter is under the care of the community nurse team in conjunction with GOSH. We were having problems getting hold of medication, within 48 hours of the situation landing on the nurse's desk we had a home visit and a personal delivery of medication. My daughter is 15 and is spoken to directly and encouraged to give her own opinion and make decisions for herself. She is now on other medication to cope with side effects which was dealt with quickly. We discussed together the best way forward to deal with regular blood tests, informing of results and collection of medication. The Tuesday after the Bank Holiday we went for blood tests and I had forgotten my form for pathology. I popped down to Bluebell ward to see if the nurse could print me a new one to save a journey back home, as they had time and because there was a long wait in pathology, they did the test themself. I am a childminder and had other children with me so this was a lovely thing to do and made my day so much easier. I normally visit during the day but last time I forgot, I telephoned Bluebell ward who confirmed it was there and accessible, I visited at 9.30pm to collect it. (It is only taken once a week so missing a dose would have been problematic). The ward sister dealt with me personally, was professional but really friendly and helpful despite the late hour. Everyone we have dealt with has been cheerful, approachable and helpful.
