I was at St Michaels hospital initially as a day case patient but after my surgery of two knee operations I ended up on the St Michaels Ward at the hospital. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the staff at the hospital, from the kitchen staff and cleaners to the staff nurses and trainees every single person I came across cared for me with the most positive, happy manner in which nothing I needed was too big or too small. Even when staff were passing my ward, a caring smile or hello was exchanged even if they were not my nurses. They answered all my questions with absolute ease and made me feel completely at home with nothing being made into a problem. The physio therapist I had was also outstanding making sure my care was personal to me enabling me to have the best recovery possible. All decisions made were made with my personal care in mind I never felt like just one other patient on the ward, I was made to feel like they cared and was never once made to feel uncomfortable or out of place. All the staff worked so hard and couldn't do enough for me. I can't express my gratitude enough for the care I received.
"Outstanding care from all members of staff"
