"Excellent care"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I had major vascular surgery to my right leg last week. The surgeon and their team saved my right leg from being amputated. The treatment and care I received was second to none. The consultant was honest and forthright and told me and my family before the operation how much trouble I was in. I have to go back in e few weeks to have the same operation on my left leg. I am confident that I will receive the same standard of care. The people that moan about the food should remember that they are in hospital and not in a 5star hotel. The food was hot and there was always a choice of menus.

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to submit them. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. I would like to send your comments to the staff concerned, could you email me, using the reference “+ve Comment on Surgery - Vascular at 18/06/2015 13:29:28”, please so we can pass on your good wishes? We have a quarterly At Our Best Awards scheme which recognises staff achievements and thanks them for what they do. It has a team category, an individual and a volunteer category.
