"Bedside manner left a lot to be desired"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I wen to to meet the Dr who went through me verbally. He lectured me about losing weight stating that if I wasn't prepared to get the weight off then I could find myself another surgeon. I sat and hardly said a word whilst he went on. He stated that I had a bmi of over 35 when I asked what amount of weight he was talking about he flustered and said he didnt know. I then found he had made a mistake about my weight but now feel unsure about trusting this doctor. His bedside manner has a lot to be desired. I am not sure what to do.

The liver specialist I was referred to was good.
