"My teenage daughter was admitted ..."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

(as a relative),

What I liked

My teenage daughter was admitted to A & E on Sunday 24th May 2009 with suspected viral meningitis. We only had a ten minute wait before she was assessed and transferred to C.D.U. for a whole series of tests. I was very impressed by the care, friendliness and efficiency of all the staff concerned. My daughter was seen by a consultant only three hours after admission and discharged promptly after that. It was a very worrying time for us and we were delighted with all aspects of the care received. We would have no hesitation in recommending the QE2.

We're really grateful to you for telling us about your recent experience at the QEII. Having to use our services in an emergency is when you want to see everything happen as it should - which it clearly did for you and, more importantly perhaps, your daughter. So thank you for taking the time in letting us know what happened - it is very much appreciated.
