About: Grantham & District Hospital / General surgery

I had an operation on in June 2015. My experience from pre-op to discharge was really good and made me feel, well cared for and as if I mattered.

Julie really talked to me and listened to what I had to say. The Anaesthetic listened to my concerns, explained everything to me and gave me the opportunity to make an informed decision and also offered a pre-med as I was very anxious. As a result I was calm, relaxed and the whole experience of going to theatre was so much better not just for me, but for the staff around me as well.

My post operation care was second to none. It was the best care I have ever received post-op and this really helped with my progress for dis-charge.

I also witnessed the care shown to two others patients on the orthopaedic ward, who also received excellent care from nurses, auxiliary staff, physiotherapy and occupational health.

As far as hospital stays go, I would say this was excellent. Thank you everyone.

Ward 2 Cloud Wall

Dear Angel Cake Lady

Following on from my response I just wanted to share with you a photo of the cloud wall we have developed on Ward 2. The cloud wall has been growing for the last 4 months and we are now expanding to another area. It has been well received by both patients and staff.
