What I liked

The Staff and Doctors were lovely and attentive

What could be improved

THE FOOD - my reletaive has been in and out for the last 12 months and the food was not good to start with but it has deteriated even further. How can they expect patients to make a quick and full recovery if they cannot provide food that is appropriate and edible. eg: Beef Stew you could not get the fork into the meat it was so tough - sausage casserol should have more than just saugages and backed beans - Chips should be served HOT not COLD. come on lister you could do not much better.

We're pleased that you found our doctors and nurses helpful and attentive, but were disappointed to read your comments about the Lister's food.

Our catering team welcomes feedback from patients, because sometimes there can be problems about which they are unaware and can often resolve. But they can't do that if they're not aware of patients' concerns in the first place.

For all the right reasons, of course, we do hope that neither you nor your relative has a need to be in the Lister again. But should that happen and if the food is not to your taste, please just ask the ward sister or duty matron - we have over 20 across the Trust - to get in touch with our catering team. We know that a member of the team will be only too happy to come and see what the problem is - as well as sort it out if that's possible.
