"My wife's breast cancer treatment"

My wife and her treatment, I thought I would update you all regarding my wife and the treatment she is receiving. What can I say that I have not already said?

My wife has reached her 4th session of Chemo at Solihull and Heartlands.

The staff are superb they make her welcome and greet her like an old friend.

Special thanks to Jess at Solihull, and to Jason who we met for the first time today at Heartland. Please thank the volunteers who come round with the tea, brilliant.

Will you please ensure my thanks actually reach the staff? When I asked the nurses they had not been told, this is disappointing.

Thank you so much for your feedback regarding your wife's treatment at Solihull and Heartlands Hospital.

I will ensure that your kind comments are forwarded directly to the individual nursing staff you have mentioned, Jess and Jason, and also highlighted to Jackie Gooch, Ward Manager for Oncology at Solihull Hospital, and to Sue Sheppard Ward Manager for Ward 19 at Heartlands Hospital, as well as Kate Winwood General Manager for Oncology Services and will ask that they ensure your feedback is highlighted to all of the hard working staff in the Oncology Team. I am sure they will be thrilled to read your comments.

I am sorry that on speaking with the staff they do not appear to have received your previous feedback. I would like to explain that your previous feedback was regarding the breast care team and this was forwarded to them for communication to all of their team.

Patient feedback is hugely important to us and we do value that you have taken the time to post your comments.

I hope this is acceptable and I wish your wife and yourself well in her continued treatment.
