About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

I came to a and e department with my mom on Thursday evening after calling an ambulance after a suspected mini stroke.paramedics assessed mom and thought she should go to hospital. It had been explained to paramedics that the Sunday before mom who is 76 had lost her husband. So she was not in a great place anyway. Lack of sleep low appetite like anyone would feel after losing there there husband 4days previous. Mom went in on a strecher and then was able to sit in a wheelchair she was seen by treage very quickly and then had an e.c.g. we were then asked to go and sit in the waiting room. My mom was in her nightdress But thought nievely that due to circumstances and her age we wouldn't be there for to long. Well to cut a long story short. After nearly four hours on terrible seating with young people sat behind swearing and my mom with her head in her hands totally exhausted we took her home and I phoned her g.p the next day. The whole experience was degrading uncaring and andt a nightmare. Would never go to and e deprtent again.
