I was admitted via A&E on a Tuesday morning at about 08:00 I was having difficulty going to the toilet to pee and I had a high temperature. I had made my own way to hospital. I was put on a drip for fluids in the A&E department, the reception, triage and medical staff were amazing. I was transferred to the Surgical assessment unit were I had lots of antibiotics and more saline administered and also had a catheter fitted. When I informed the staff that my car was in the car park they took my details and informed the facilities department to stop me getting a ticket. I was transferred to Downton ward where again I received, friendly, caring and understanding from all of the staff. I was kept in for 4 days and I could not ask for better treatment. A lot of people enjoy knocking the NHS, I personally could not fault it.
