"My husband was a patient in Ward ..."

About: Royal Free Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My husband was a patient in Ward 6E from 8 August to 6 September this year. Sadly he died on 6 September, but I do want to put on the record that the care he received from everyone, the consultant and the other doctors, the nurses, the therapists and everyone else in the Ward was in every way outstanding.

I cannot speak highly enough of their unstinting expertise and genuine care and kindness.

The outcome was of course a very sad one for me, but it helps tremendously to know how well he was cared for and the dedication that went into trying to do the very best for him.

The knowledge that he couldn't have received better treatment any where will always be a great comfort to me.

What could be improved

More lifts would be nice

Please accept our sincere condolences for your husband's death. It's very thoughtful of you to take the time to make these lovely comments and they have been passed onto the ward concerned.

We are currently working on a refurbishment programme for our lifts and although this should take some time, it will offer an improved service to our patients.
