Been on a waiting list for 2 years now, whenever I phone to ask about whats going on the secretary in charge rarely answers the phone. When I do get through I just get told a stock answer "you're on the list" and thats it. The Consultant seemed nice but I'm convinced it was just some sort of facade. When I do go in for an appointment the average wait time is about 3 hours. Not all the doctors seem to know what the ENT department is capable of. The first doctor I met sent me back to my GP to look at some funding options, where my GP then looked at me and said "not a clue what this means". Saw another Doctor at the ENT and they seemed to know what was going on and that nothing needed funding - but I don't really trust any of them given how long I have been waiting. So basically if you need any actual help, like I do for breathing, then give this place a skip.
"ENT - do they even bother?"
