"Can't even get my blood results to my renal..."

About: King Edward VII Hospital

Having had a blwhoood test on 27th of May (Wednesday), I said I needed the results to be with my renal specialist in Southampton for my forthcoming appointment (Thursday 4th June). No problem I was told, they will be sent directly, so having driven from Datchet to Southampton imagine my delight when I arrived to find nothing had been sent. This reduced my very important appointment (to decide whether or not I need a transplant), to nothing more than a general conversation. If a hosptial cannot organise itself to get blood tests done efficiently, then I hope I have no further need to visit this particular one. Very disappointed to say the least!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback regarding your blood test and the results last week. I am sorry for this experience. I have spoken to Gavin Bennett, Pathology Services Manager and he would like to investigate what happened in more detail. If you would like him to do this please can you contact Mr Bennett directly on gavin.bennett@fhft.nhs.uk. Kind Regards Claire Marshall Head of Patient Involvement
