My Wife visited physio ( GP referal) with a knee problem and they investigated a swelling in upper thigh, ultrasound followed and she then received scans at both Hinchinbrooke and Addenbrookes. Addenbrookes confirmed a Lipoma sandwiched between muscles and arteries, a referral to Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Birmingham was followed by a speedy admission (expected 4 - 8 weeks, however, it happened 1 week approx later)...she went in on a Sunday, surgery Monday and walked out on crutches Wednesday same week. It was confirmed benign a few days later and follow up checks are scheduled at 3 month intervals for one year. Lots of things soon became apparent, namely, technology...absolutely fantastic, but most of all the support and attitude of every member of staff we encountered....GP and surgery staff, Hinchinbrooke Physiotherapy, reception staff at every venue...specialist teams at Hinchinbrooke orthopaedics, Addenbrookes Oncology and all those superb skillful people at Royal Orthopaedic Birmingham. may your skills and dedication continue and a sincere God Bless to you all.
"Diagnosis second to none"
