"Refused a partial knee op because of weight!"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

I am 56 years old, I first saw an orthopaedic surgeon at UHND last October 2014. I was experiencing difficulty sleeping because of the pain and it was inhibiting my mobility. I was sent for an mri scan as the surgeon thought it was my back! Then afterwards referred to a spinal surgeon who referred me back to the orthopaedic surgeon saying it was my knee! Eventually today 3rd June 2015 I went to get a decision on what would be done which was nothing! Yes they know I need a new knee but they wont do the operation until I lose 4 stones! Never mind my quality of life, NHS Durham? I wouldnt bother if I was you.
