"Excellant Care and Compassion"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery (Wards 16-18)

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had to use our local hospital services at the start of the week, being a health care professional myself, it is always difficult to change from your professional role, to being a mum.

The Staff in the day surgery unit and ward 18 were excellant, they communicated effectively, worked as a team and displayed fantanstic levels of care and compassion.

I felt assured that my daugher was in safe hands, in particular I would like to thank Mr BenYounes and Dr Reid (radiology) for their care and attention.

Dear gicorb01

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience of care within Wishaw General Hospital.

I am delighted that your daughter received good care and that you felt that the staff were fantastic and communicated effectively. I appreciate how hard this must have been due to the nature of your profession. It is our aim to provide safe, effective, person centered care and we will ensure this continues at all times.

Please be assured that I will pass on your lovely comments to Mr BenYounes,

Dr Reid and all the other staff involved, they will be delighted to receive them.

I hope your daughter is recovering well.

Best Wishes

Anne Leitch
