I was made to feel I was making a fuss about nothing by the initial doctor who came to see me. He said that I was getting upset about nothing, that I wasnt the only person who suffered the pain of Spondylitis. I didn't say I was! I also wasn't asking for any special treatment, merely effective pain relief. Then to leave that dept and go to the pharmacy to be spoken to there like something they had scraped off of their shoe just about finished off my day!! It's bad enough having to go to hospital and be in such excrutiating pain that it makes you feel down enough, without being spoken to like some kind of moron by the very people who are supposed to be there to help you! The sister on the Minors unit couldnt have been more helpful, and it was appreciated. I feel at lot of the staff at Queens could learn a lot from her.
