"Accident and Emergency Via Ambulance"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary

Came to accident and emergency via an ambulance last night around 10.30pm ish and was put into the main waiting room as there was no beds. We then waited until 1am before we was called, during this time my brither-in-law got worse and we was told to inform the nurses if he did which we did but still they didnt do anything, they just kept saying he was next to be seen. But people was coming in and getting seen whilst we was just made to sit and wait. The system they have in place is shambles and definatly needs reviewing.

Dear Shawni, First of all I must apologise, a technical problem with the site meant we did not get your feedback at the time. This has now been sorted out.

We do take all feedback seriously, and are very grateful when people take the time to send it to us. I am also sorry that you and your brother in law did not have the kind of experience we would want to provide.

Unfortunately, because so much time has passed it will be difficult to investigate what happened now, and there have also been quite a lot of changes to the A&E department processes in that time.

But if you do want someone to look into this please get in touch via patient.experience@bthft.nhs.uk but please accept our apologies for the distress you both experiences whilst waiting to be seen.
