A year ago I was put on this ward with a very worrying prognosis and a life in tatters from my alcoholism. The amazing, kind and dedicated staff on ward 8X nursed me back to health and helped refer me to a worker who got me into rehab. I am 1 year sober tomorrow and without the NHS I would surely have died. I cannot thank ward 8X and the NHS enough for the life I have today, and the peace it has brought my family. x
