"short stay medical unit"

About: James Paget University Hospital

I am a 37 year old male who was admitted because my ck levels were 119,000 i had done a work out which left me unsble to straighten my arms, it was diagnosed as Rhabdomyolisis. I spent nearly four days in ssmu I was so well looked after and felt in excellent hands. Having never stayed in hospital before I was unsure how I would feel. I was amazed at how hard working but friendly everyone was. I wish I could thank everyone personally for their help. I felt like I was with friends unyet we'd never met. I think all of you should be paid so much more for what you do. Really it's incredible. My bloods ck level went as high as 51,000, I came out when they lowered to 44,000. I thank you again and want to say keep up the good work. Special thanks to staff :-D

Dear Brendan Thank you for taking the time to provide such positive feedback regarding your recent admission. I do hope you are recovering well. I have shared your comments with the teams involved in your care who, I am sure, will be delighted to hear such praise. The Trust holds an annual event to celebrate 'Remarkable People' working within the organisation and I would be really pleased to hear from you if you would like to nominate any member of staff in particular for this award, who may have been directly involved in your care. Thank you again for taking the time to post your feedback. Kind Regards Amanda Hood Head of Patient Experience and Engagement Tel: 01493 452304
