"Arthroscopy/Cardiac Arrest"

About: Wycombe Hospital

I was admitted for day surgery for a knee arthroscopy and suffered a cardiac arrest whilst under anaesthetic which resulted in the operation being aborted. I was given cpr in theatre and would like to extend my warmest and most heartfelt thanks to all the staff involved in my resuscitation and subsequent care. All those involved were extremely professional, concerned and kind. I felt in extremely safe hands and would like all those involved to receive this as a personal acknowledgement from me. I subsequently received fantastic care in the Coronary Care Ward (which I have reviewed separately). I am now much better and feel extremely lucky to have survived this trauma.
