"Overnight stay"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

I was brought in to A & E on Saturday night after falling down some stairs. I was well attended to and looked after until I was transferred to a ward as I needed to be kept in overnight due to a head injury. After being woke up for breakfast , I was never spoken to once , never asked how I was feeling, never asked if anything hurt or if I needed any pain relief.Only once I was given permission to leave I was given some pain killers (after asking). It was quite obvious the nursing staff had made thier minds up as to why I had fallen down the stairs and treated me accordingly. I have paid taxes and national insurance since 1981 and I am disgusted how I was treated. I have previously praised your hospital as I have a number of operations but unfortunately my opinion has now drastically changed
