Having returned from only 48hrs holiday in Portugal, where I fell and had my wrist broken, taken to hospital, and a re-set with no pain relief !! only to discover at pains length that the cast was fitted too tight and the re-set was not good, Thank the lord for our NHS I arrived home went straight to A @ E, Had first class treatment and following morning sitting in front of specialist re cast and pain killers Brilliant, absolutely first class NHS treatment, Long may this continue.

Dear Pauline – I was sorry to learn of your misfortune whilst on holiday in Portugal recently. Thank you for your kind comments about the service provided by A&E at Southmead and the orthopaedic treatment you received. As you may be aware A&E departments across the NHS have been under pressure, so it is good to receive some positive feedback about how services compare with medical care outside of the NHS.
