"some of the staff are pleasant ..."

About: St Thomas' Hospital (London)

(as a relative),

What I liked

some of the staff are pleasant and caring

What could be improved

doctors and nurses attitude very non caring especially in oncology unit. Dealing with cancer patients i would have expected the highest standards but it fluctuates on which nurse or doctor. No consistency and lack of ownership.

Anything else?

my wifes a patient and was in severe pain for over a month but who ever she saw both nurse and doctor showed little care and sympathy. they also had a laid back approach. I was appauled at way she was treated she had to compalin to be treated.

We agree that nowhere is a consistently kind attitude from staff more important than in cancer care. Please accept our apologies that was not the case for your wife
