"Excellent service"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

Tuesday, 27th May 2015. Having tripped and fallen, sustained an injury to my head. Went to Wimborne MIU, but arrived after closing time. However nurse bandaged head and forwarded me to A&E. Arrived 17:25. Receptionist pleasant and efficient. Triage nurse was caring and efficient, cleaned wound. Nurse Practitioner was caring and efficient checked wound before sealing with glue and giving tetanus injection. Out in less than two hours (parking time). Excellent service!

Dear Anonymous Thank you for taking the time to share your experience about your visit to our Emergency Department. It is good to hear that even though Wimborne hospital’s MIU was closed the nurse took the time to bandage her head and direct you to Bournemouth Hospital for further treatment. I am pleased you found the reception and triage staff to be kind, caring and efficient, acting swiftly to make sure the wound was cleaned prior to the Nurse Practitioner completing the procedure. I hope you found the car parking easy to access and not too costly during your visit. I will pass on your comments to the ED Matron to share with her team as they always appreciate receiving patient feedback. I wish you well for the future and hope that your wound soon heals. Regards Sue Mellor Head of Patient Engagement
