On 20th April I had appointment for post op assessment, to include an Xray. On arrival I was informed I was booked in for Physio. Not happy I asked to see the surgeon to discuss my healing process, and recovery. I was able to do this, however I really needed the Xray. I was asked to come back in 6 weeks. Leaving the clinic the appointment desk was closed so the nurse took my paperwork for my next appointment. 3 weeks on I chased to be told no appointment had been made and none pending. I managed to get an appointment for the 1st June after much pushing. Today 26th May in the post I have a letter to say my appointment has been cancelled for the 1st June and has been re scheduled for the 27th July. Just 4 working days before I was due to see the consultant again for the Xray I should of had done 20th April. Contacted stoke who said it was cancelled due to being in the wrong slot. I can only assume they meant the wrong consultant. So my 6 week appointment has now gone to 14 weeks and no sign of the paperwork left with the nurse. Thank you to the duty manager who decided to cancel my appointment at such short notice..........I hope you receive the same treatment should you need to use the NHS. This is not the first time I have had problems with the appointment department and I dare say it will not be the last. I just hope that on arrival I get the long awaited Xray.
