I was abused in care and put into st georges for trying to run away when I was 14, the home I was in was being used as a brothel, that's why I was so desperate to escape. I have since been diagnosed by a specialist in Asperger syndrome as on the autistic spectrum and also diagnosed with ptsd. I've been sectioned twice now for being disorderly, which really means I was distraught and weeping, and st georges treated me with contempt, the staff gossip and sneer about the patients and its just horrible, they sit in the staff room gossiping and mocking the patients, there are some nice ones but they are in the minority, it's an appalling place, they leave people to scream and cry, and mock them, they refuse to recognise Asperger Syndrome they totally disregarded a diagnosis I had been given over a two day consultation by an expert in his field of Asperger Syndrome, and trumped it by the opinion of a doctor that diagnosed me without any proper assessment, also there is no provision for victims of child abuse, in fact the staff have made even talking about child abuse a taboo subject I got told off for even talking about it, there is a really unhappy atmosphere, there's not much to do. There is a library at st georges but patients aren't allowed to use it, if patients ask to use library they are taken to a book shelf with hardly any books on it, there's no means to exercise apart from a garden area, I got told off for feeding the birds, I had to lock myself in my room a lot of the time because the staff allow patients to bully each other plus because there's not much to do other patients were wanting me to entertain them, not their fault, but it made me feel like I had to lock myself in my room, the place is filthy, no washing up liquid, dishwasher not working most of the time, some of us got a rash which wasn't investigated, the place was cleaned up one morning but we weren't treated properly for our rashes, I was told on discharge that I was not allowed to know names of the staff I involved in my case, I complained then given a false name for one of the social workers. What are they hiding at this hospital, why give a patient a false name, this place is a disgrace
"this hospital won't recognise Asperger Syndrome..."
