I gave birth at the hospital 4 weeks ago and had a far tougher birth than expected. I was almost fully dilated when I went in in the very early hours of 26th April. The staff were fantastic and when they realised there was a problem acted swiftly, kindly and efficiently. My little girl, Olivia, was born with forceps at 10.15am that day and after an epidural I had struggled to breastfeed. The staff stayed up with me all night trying to help me express and trying to find ways to help Olivia latch on. They were always friendly, willing to help and very supportive, despite how tired they must have been in the dead of night. One was even pregnant herself but still stayed by my bedside! They brought me tea, toast and painkillers when I needed them. They did their best to help me when I had to stay a long time in hospital. I cannot recommend the hospital enough and only hope the staff realise how much they are valued. Thank you so much all the staff at St. Mary's maternity hospital in Poole!! xxxx
"An amazing hospital with fantastic staff!!!"
