"Lack of triage in A&E"

My husband visited A&E last night as advised by GP should he experience any bleeding following tonsillectomy. He was in great discomfort, advised not to eat or drink by the 111 service. Arrived at the department at midnight & was not seen by anyone until 5am, saw doctor (locum who gave the attitude that they couldn't be bothered), said it had now stopped bleeding & nothing that could be done. Have no complaint that there was a lack of treatment however this was more a case of wasted time waiting to be assessed, a proper triage system would resolve this.
