"Excellence - De La Mere Ward."

I was recently in the hospital for Total Hip Replacement Surgery. Having never had any major surgery before i was very anxious about the whole experience. It would be very difficult to find fault with any of the care that I received. The staff at all levels were extremely professional, the ward was spotless, the staff were very polite, good humoured and interested in doing their job well. There were two Sisters who ran the ward and all that went on. Wow - what Leadership, very impressive, high standards and expectations of their staff teams, clear direction and great team spirit and motivation. We all hear stories about the bad experiences that people have with the NHS, well this a good experience and thank you to all the staff who contributed to this very positive experience. Perhaps De La Mere Ward is a real Jewel in the Crown of the NHS.
