"Mindfulness, Eccles"

About: Six Degrees IAPT

(as the patient),

I asked to be referred onto a Mindfulness Course as I have been suffering with stress, anxiety, depression, hypersensitivity to noise and panic attacks.

The two tutors have been brilliant every step of the way and I feel that the group sessions have made it possible for me to share my experiences and also learn from the people present that I am not the only one to suffer anxiety and depression.

It's been a long time since I have felt as relaxed as I do following each session of meditations within the group.

I've walked home each time wrapped in a bubble of complete contentment and peaceful relaxation!

Although I have been having Cognitive Behavioural Therapy I truly do feel that Mindfulness is the best way for me to regain control of my anxiety and depression and so master the panic attacks and hypersensitivity to noise!

Mindfulness4me thanks Chardworth Dhliwayo for their response to the feedback they posted 2 weeks ago and would like to add the following:

I had my last session of Mindfulness last Tuesday so yesterday was the first Tuesday afternoon without Mindfulness. I have to say Debra and Rachel and the group were sorely missed as I have had some terribly bad news about a family member and feel a group session would have helped a great deal.

Having realised this I would like to say that future 'drop in' sessions offered would appeal to me greatly in order to benefit from further group meditations and any available advice from Debra, Rachel or their colleagues.

Mindfulness is such a valuable resource to people like me and I truly feel that all you can do from practising it is gain enormous benefits in body, mind and soul.

Your response is most encouraging and I look forward to hearing from you in the future with regard to any changes made.

I am also hoping to receive the promised CD of meditations practised in the mindfulness sessions I attended; particularly the Mountain meditation which was my favourite.

Just to update you; we have agreed to provide monthly drop-in sessions for those who have attended our Mindfulness courses starting late August this year. We have provided some of the meditations on memory sticks and we will be providing them on CDs shortly; so you will receive your copy.

We really appreciate this valuable feedback. Best wishes.

Many thanks Chardworth Dhliwayo for your above response regarding the drop-in sessions planned for late August and the meditation CDs you hope to be sending out soon.

I know our group were given memory sticks with the 'breathing anchor' and 'body scan' meditations on, both of which I have found very useful.

I appreciate your speedy responses as I am sure you are very busy.
