My husband has Elite carers come in four times a day. The carers are excellent and efficient and have become friends. We could not manage without them as his mobility is badly impaired after a stroke and I have a condition that has weakened my muscles. They brighten our day!

However, if I have a gripe it would be that the timings don't always suit us and to get that changed we might lose some of our team. It seems crazy that someone is parachuted in the middle of the day while our regular carer is sitting the car somewhere. Perhaps I just don't understand the logistics of the whole system. I know that recently there have been changes to our local office and perhaps it will settle down.

It is encouraging to see that the support staff are providing a very effective service and that you consider them to be both excellent and efficient.

However it is less encouraging that you have found some of the visit times to be less than suitable. There may be reasons why some of the visit times are at that particular time or allocated to certain workers.

I would encourage you and anyone who has concerns of this nature to contact your local Elite Care office and speak to the appropriate coordinator or service manager. If the concerns are not fully resolved or an explanation as to why things are as they are, then I would encourage you to contact me directly.
