"The doctor I saw was rude and ..."

About: National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery - Queen Square

(as the patient),

What I liked

The doctor I saw was rude and arrogant. I felt intimidated and when I asked him a question he asked if I was a doctor. Meaning I had no right to ask any questions about my care. When I complained I was treated appallingly and basically told that I should go elsewhere. I obtained some further information from previous medical records which I thought may be of assistance and contacted the doctor again. He suggested a likely diagnosis on the basis of this information but erroneously thought I was his private patient when he realised I was not, he said he refused to look at the results and said that as they were not done at his hospital they were not valid. He told my GP she should send me elsewhere.

What could be improved

Change of culutre and zero tolerance for mistreatment of patients. They may all be called professor but they need to remember the reason they are there.. If they feel too important to be seeing patients then perhaps its time to re-evaluate their position. Your doctors are fast getting a very bad reputation for rude and arrogant behaviour to patients and it is reflecting badly on the hospital.
