About: Hillingdon Hospital

Son had a seizure during flight to London. Presented at Hillingdon A&E. Staff were ok, however blood test results were not phoned through as promised. We had to contact them a few times before we got some vague response. Also, after some research, it appears it's best to get an EEG within 24 hours of a seizure - something the medical staff did not tell us or offer. Now when I try to get the blood results faxed to our local hospital the 'Legal Services Administrator' informs us there is a £30.00 British Pound fee, just hours before our local appointment, leaving no time to conform or to get the results in time.

We are very sorry to hear that you were unhappy about the care your son received in the A & E Department during a recent attendance. We have discussed your concerns with one of the Senior Consultants in the A & E Department who has confirmed that it is not usual practice nor is it necessary for an EEG to be carried out within 24 hours of a seizure. Regarding your request for copies of blood results I sincerely apologise for this misleading information and would ask that you contact the emergency care services manager on 01895279646 Noreen Rice who is happy to assist you in this matter.
