"Avoid!"

About: Leighton Hospital

Having given this hospital one little star for its appointment system in a review I made in October 2014 & having been assured by a response that the problem was being addressed, it should have been reasonable to assume that by May 2015 the situation would have improved. Not so!! I was phoned to make a mutually acceptable appointment with my consultant followed by receipt of a confirmation letter from Leighton Hospital. However when I arrived at the appointed time today, yet again there was no record of my appointment on the duty list. I reiterate my comment of last October on this web site... 'Whoever is responsible for the organsiation in the appointments department needs reappointing' I would now add, urgently!!! Why does this chaos still exist? Your previous comments & my recent experience have only served to reinforce my opinion that complaining only results in meaningless platitudes emanating from people like you & that the policy & ethos at Leighton Hospital is to 'carry on in regardless oblivion & ignore the elephant in the room' I would stress that the staff on duty today were very courteous & helpful in attempting to overcome the shortcomings of the inefficiencies of the Appointments Department but if Leighton Hospital management cannot competently address a simple matter like the organisation of appointments, heaven help the population of Cheshire if they need serious & urgent treatment. I have given you one star again; I wish there was the facility to give a quarter of one because that is all you deserve. My advice remains avoid, avoid, avoid...
