"Hip Replacement Surgery & Recovery, Gate 38.."

I recently under went Hip Replacement surgery at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield & was then cared for on Gate 38 after my operation. I can only say good things regarding my operation & after care at the hands of staff on gate 38. Firstly my surgeon fully explained all the risks & made it completely clear what my operation entailed & the risks for me personally, I won't mention any names but the surgeon who was to do my procedure made me feel really relaxed & laughed & joked along with me to ease my mind before & after surgery, excellent service from start to finish. After my surgery I was in time returned to Gate 38 for my after care. The staff on Gate 38 are amazing, constantly on the go, looking after each & every patient with the same respect & dignity & helping their patients with pain relief etc constantly. I myself was in a lot of pain post op but the staff did every thing they could to keep me as pain free as possible both day & night, I will never forget their efforts helping me. Staff are always courteous & friendly to eveyone even under tremendous stress at time due to workload etc. Cleaning staff were also very thorough & polite, they really do a good job & at the same time make the patient feel at ease & relaxed with their friendly chats. Meals were all excellent & very tasty, & always served piping hot, very enjoyable. All in all I would reccommend Pinderfields highly for Hip Replacement or any other type of surgery, I left Gate 38 after almost a weeks stay with fond memories at the hands of the staff on Gate 38. I will return once I am fully able to walk alone to thank the staff personally, they really are excellent at what they do.
