A family member is currently being cared for on Ward 12 post amputation. After a recent visit I was utterly shocked by the treatment of the staff to my family member. He had run out of his morpheme dose which he administraits via push button, he repeatedly asked the staff for a new dosage but was told he would have to wait as there were other things that needed to be done. After 45 minutes of waiting and being in agony he was finally seen but not for the morpheme to be replaced but his paracetamol drip. This was changed but my family member then realised that the drip had been inserted into the wrong canula and had leaked all over his bed, the first staff member did not believe it and it took a second one to examine it for them to realise. Finally after 1 hour his morpheme drip was changed. Disgusting!
