"A&E admission from LRI"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I was admitted from LRI due to Renal Colic, I am from Southampton and was in Loughborough on a course. I was transferred from LRI A&E, I was seen by a nurse and the consultant very quickly. A course of action was decided upon and I was admitted overnight. The NHS gets a lot of negative press but the service I received from the consultant and the nursing staff was exemplary. The whole process was second to none considering I was a long way from home. The consultant rang my local hospital to book a follow up scan once I had returned home. Please pass my thanks to the whole staff of ward 28 Thanks

Dear Scott Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. We are always pleased to receive positive feedback but it is really nice to receive a comment from someone perhaps away from familiar surroundings. It’s great that you found the level of care to be so good. We’ll be very happy to share your comments with the staff on ward 28. We hope you are making a good recovery. Sincerely Communications Team Leicester’s Hospitals
