"Lengthy time to transfer of GP records"

After serious various issues with my ex-GP for 15 years, I decided enough was enough, my health failing with no proper referrals/diagnosis.

I discovered a GP who had a speciality for my health needs so made arrangements to change over. The surgery informed me it takes around 6 weeks to make the transfer and unable to make it any faster due to the sheer volume of other Transfers, and advised to make appointment when my Transfer has taken place. Feeling poorly, I will wait, due to the complexities. I then subsequently discovered that the specialist GP was on long term sick and may not possibly be returning, although this is not showing on their website to let me make my own informed choice.

However, I am willing to give the new Surgery a go, can't loose anything, due to the appalling ex-GP Practice. Just disappointed unable to see the GP that specialises for my suspected conditions.
