About: Heartlands Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My mom was admitted to Heartlands twice in one week as an emergency, I cannot fault the nursing care she has received but the medical care has been unbelievable. She hasn't seen the same junior Dr twice & every single time she has been seen they've told her different things regarding her upcoming operation.

After 10 days, 7 without food, they told her yesterday she was to be nil by mouth from 2am & then her op would be today. Another Dr came just before lunchtime & said they were sending her home tomorrow with a date to return within 2 weeks for her op. She's already tied up a bed for 10 days with no action. What on earth is going on.

Thank you for your comments regarding your mother's experience at Heartlands Hospital.

I am concerned to read your feedback regarding the medical care given and that there has been lots of conflicting information given regarding her required surgery.
