"Ridiculous"

I was sent to A&E by my dentist for a maxillofacial issue with a letter. When I got in the receptionists sent me to three different desks until they finally checked me in. It took over three hours to be seen (meanwhile everyone that was there had been gone for 45 minutes). When I went up to the receptionists to ask how much longer they said 5 more minutes 4 times for the next hour. Then when I was seen they said it would be 10 minutes whilst they paged the maxfax doctor on call. An hour later after I had gone up again to the receptionists they started having a go at me for going up to ask them what was going on. They said that they were going on their break and to stop asking. They then said that if I had such a problem I should go in to talk to the nurses myself. I went in and it turned out that my file had been put into the wrong box and that they hadn't bothered to page maxfax. I hadn't been seen in hours because of the incompetent staff who decided to shout at me instead of actually check my file or see where I was in the queue. They refused to apologise and said that they had done their job - even though though they clearly hadn't. If you can avoid that place, it will make your life easier to do it.
