"CPN"

I am becoming increasingly frustrated at the amount of concern and sympathy I am receiving from my CPN of almost six years. I am on the Autism spectrum and have problems with one area of society in particular.

Whenever I am involved in an incident involving certain types of person it always seems to be "my fault": I shouldn't have reacted like I did, or it was only an accident, and, of course, if I do the same thing I will be jailed.

I am shown sympathy in face-to-face meetings but was even not referred for a consultation with my psychiatrist recently despite the request that this be done coming from my G. P. My CPN decided by his / herself that it had nothing to do with my mental health. (At our previous meeting I was told "It may be that Dr - (my psychiatrist) needs to review your medication but let's see what your blood results and GP say. " When I telephoned and passed on the request I was told Dr - would be consulted then at our next meeting was informed, as stated above, that this had not taken place.

I am the one with psychopathic symptoms - total lack of empathy and sympathy towards others - but that is not an attitude one expects from a mental health practitioner.

I think it may be time for a change.
