"Inadequate service"

About: Loughborough Hospital

I took my 18 year old son to the Walk in Centre on Friday 8th May 2015. The doctor did not appear to take on board the symptoms as described. They did look in my son's ears and kept on smiling all the time, then said his ear looked sore and needed syringing but to go to the GP as they don't do that there. Took him to emergency GP the next morning who confirmed no ear wax and severe ear infection, probably an abcess! If you have any ear problem do not bother with this centre.

We are very sorry that you and your son are not happy with the advice received from the doctor at the Walk In Centre. I have forwarded the details of your concern to the organisation in charge of the Urgent Care Centre at Loughborough, the West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group. If you would like to know how they are acting on your concerns please contact them at http://www.westleicestershireccg.nhs.uk/contactus or via telephone on 01509 567700.
