"Kindness at it's very best"

About: Dorset County Hospital

My wife had to have a Major Operation, whilst taking a while, as you woud expect to Diagnose fully, the care and attention she received was brilliant, not once whilst seeing different members of the urology team, was she never kept late for any appointment, everything was explained in detail each time. The day of the operation came , and with such good support from the admission ward , to having a visit from the Surgeon who was performing the proceedure, and members of the theatre team, it was caring and relaxing for my wife. My husband was contacted after surgery by the surgeon to assure him that all went well. My husband was also contacted by the Aneathist( Sorry about spelling ), telling him all as well and I was in recovery. Also I was informed my wife was taken to Lulworth Ward, During her stay there , no one could have been more caring nor kind, what can you say, they were marvellous. Above all with their time and work, they also found time for the Familly, to assure us. WDCH From a greatful Familly Thank you so very very much.

Thank you for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback on your wife’s recent care, I will make sure the surgical team hear how much you appreciated the care and treatment she received at our Hospital. I will also make sure that the surgical assessment unit, theatre team and anaesthetists hear how grateful you are as a family. In my experience any procedure can lead to a level of concern and I am really pleased her fears were allayed by our team. It is often also a really worrying time for family member when their loved ones are admitted to hospital and so I was especially pleased to read that you and the family had been looked after too. I am very grateful to you for taking the time to write your review and hope your wife is recovering well. Best wishes, Alison Tong, Director of Nursing, Dorset County Hospital
